After registering, you can easily book from the form to the station.

IRCTC Account Setup
- Open the website www.irctc.co.in or download the IRCTC Rail Connect app (Android/iOS).
- Click on "New User? Register". Enter your Username, Password, Email, Mobile number. Set your Security Question & Answer.
- Verify the OTP and submit, and your account will be created!
💡 Pro Tip: If you use a strong password, you can easily recover it using the forgotten password option.
Note: If you don't have an account, you won't be able to book a train ticket.
Ticket Search & Train Selection – You can search for the train of your choice!
- Login and click on the “Book Ticket” option.
- Enter the station from (e.g. Chennai), to (e.g. Mumbai), and travel date.
- Select the class – AC, Sleeper, Chair Car, etc.
- Click on “Find Trains”. The list will show the train name, time, seat availability, etc.
- Select the class of the train that suits you and check the fare.
- If the availability is green, click on “Book Now”.
⚡ Tatkal Note: Tatkal booking opens at 10 am. Have a fast internet connection & login ready.

Enter passenger details — Name, Age, Gender, ID proof (Aadhaar / PAN).
Adults: Maximum 6 people
Children: Maximum 2 people
Select berth preference (Lower / Upper / Middle)
- Enter address and accept terms and conditions → Click Next.
- Total fare (Ticket + GST + Convenience fee) will appear.
- Select Payment method – UPI, Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, Wallet (Paytm/PhonePe) are all available.
✅ After successful payment, you will receive PNR number & e-ticket via SMS and email.
🖨 Print or save on mobile.
💡 Extra tip: If you are eligible for disability quota and apply for it, you will get discount.
